LIFE – Let It Flow Easy!!

Sometime in August I had written about Fear which was then followed by Fear to Fearless and then I wrote on Love.

But as was dealing with life situations around me, I thought I need to delve a bit more into Fear – for it seems to cripple us more often than not.

Fear takes us away from what we have or what we are seeing and doing at the present moment. It takes us away from a space of gratitude and love to worry and anxiety.  But the origin of fear – whilst is only a thought is so strong that despite the Awareness to change the thought and bring back the attention to what is, is still an arduous task.

Why does that happen? I realised that 99.99% of the times, Fear as a thought is a conditioned response of our attachment to the desired outcome. It would perhaps be difficult to understand at what point the conditioning must have taken place. So what’s important is to acknowledge the presence of it in the first place in order to break away from it.

In absolute simple language, the cognitive part of the brain perceives all the information and stores the data. Cells are 75 percent water and water holds memory is a proven scientific fact. Cells hold memory – that’s what we normally refer to as genes or genetic composition.  Response between neurons creates the myelin sheath which further strengthens when we repeat the same response. Thoughts are energy. Feelings / emotions are energy in motion.

So very often our reaction to any form of fear, anger, will then be an automatic response / unconscious and thus it would be very difficult to have a different reaction or a chosen response.  For example, if some external trigger and our thought to it generates anger within us, our unconscious response to a similar event would trigger the same / similar form of anger.

If we are aware enough, and are able to catch the fear, breaking away from the conditioned pattern would take way too much effort and make us extremely uncomfortable. And therefore the likelihood of us falling into the same trap would be very high. But that’s where we need to remember that whenever we fall, the only choice we have is to rise up again and try again, till this smoothly integrates into our new way of thinking.

Breaking away from such tendencies, or identification to thought process would have to be practiced again and again despite the discomfort.  This also means having the ability to accept and acknowledge our own emotions for what they are. For we will never be able to disown those emotions till we learn to own them. This perhaps takes back to the three level practice of Acceptance, Knowing the Options available and then Actioning the chosen option.  A different response would mean that now we are training the neurons to generate a different electric impulse resulting in a new layer of myelin sheath being formed. This is training of the mind. Just like the simple routine of brushing our teeth twice eventually becomes our second nature, we would have learnt to be centered and calm both internally and externally.

So next time when Fear knocks on your door – let gratitude, faith and trust answer it. Feel Excited And Ready for Life to flow.
