LIFE – Let It Flow Easy!!

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, “My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all.
“One is Evil – It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.”
“The other is Good – It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf wins?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”
Two Wolves is a Cherokee Indian legend and illustrates the most important battle of our lives – the one between our good and bad thoughts.
In any given moment, hour, day – we end up feeding both the wolves.  However, very often we end up feeding the negative wolf.  One negative thought after the other and soon we are feeling low, negative, angry.  Our words, actions are consequence of those very negative thoughts. The external stimulus is everywhere outside of us.  But what determines the impact of that is the way we process information , how we choose to internalize it, which wolf we end up feeding at that point in time. Generally that information processing is based on how have been conditioned to think, how we have become habituated into labelling things as right /wrong, correct/incorrect, good/bad.   Our idea of what should be and our need for others to accept our view point as their’s forgetting that they are made up of the same stuff as we are.

Will there ever be a time when the negative wolf would cease to exist in our head? The answer is  NO –  because law of duality mandates that both have to be present for us to understand and experience the other.  However, we always the choice which one to feed.

Decide which wolf you want to feed today – everyday!
