LIFE – Let It Flow Easy!!

The common thread of human existential dilemma is the constant chase to be happy. But the inherent problem with the chase to be happy is, that the more we seek it, the more it becomes elusive. All of human striving – be it education, our relationships – parents, siblings, friends, partners, children, the profession or work or business we choose, or even our definition of success, wealth, health is eventually about being Happy. Does our work make us happy? Are we happy in our relationships? Am I good enough??? Bottom line being – Am I Happy or am I constantly struggling in life, stressed or anxious?

Yet despite whatever we may have managed to achieve in our lives, we are never consistently happy. When the idea of happiness is attached to a goal, the achievement of it gives us momentary happiness, but then it fades away.  And unconsciously we move to next thing that we think is going to make us happy. Most of us grow up believing that Happiness is like going to our favourite destination. But the irony is that once we arrive at our destination, we start thinking about all the activities, sight seeing, shopping, exploration and that moment of happiness shifts to the next box we desire to tick.

We see this chase within us, outside of us in our interactions with most people who are playing this game of life in this world. However, there comes a point in time in our lives mostly out of sheer desperation, just like in the movie Matrix, where we have to make the choice of either taking the blue pill or the red pill. The blue pill meant that we choose to question our conditioning and ignorance and the red pill meant that we continue to choose to live with unawareness till the next breaking point arrives.

When we choose to take the blue pill, we start realizing that we are the Masters of our own lives. We choose and decide what we bring into the sacred space of our Mind. That NO-ONE and NO-THING can enter that sacred space, unless we let it in.  So whatever our idea of happiness or sadness is, it is totally up to us and no-one else. This in itself is a huge task to undertake, for we are used to constantly blaming someone else or something else or lack of it for our unhappiness. We are used to the illness of “Chronic Discontentment” and this is our chance to become healthy again. Most people thus do not choose the blue pill – the fear of shifting away from the comfort zone, the fear of questioning all that we have learnt so far, is far too scary.

I believe, that if you are reading this post, or have accidentally come across this blog, you are someone who either has or is willing to take the blue pill. You are willing to listen to that voice in your heart which is the Universal voice available to us all the time to guide us to know our true self which is beyond the limitations of our conditioned mind.
